Lady Gaga Fame Perfume
Lady Gaga Fame Perfume

Company’s Description
Embrace Lady Gaga Fame, the sultry, black eau de parfum. First of its kind in fluid technology, it is black like the soul of Fame but invisible once airborne. This black fluid exudes a lustful, floral, fruity essence for fabulous little monsters.
Enriched with tears of belladonna, a black veil of incense, and pulverized apricot, this fragrance may cause illicit fits of extravagance, unrivalled rushes of adoration, and prolonged moments of ecstasy and rapture.

Lady Gaga’s signature fragrance “Fame” recently released in stores.
Notes: Belladonna, Incense, Apricot, Honey Drops, Tiger Orchidea, Jasmin Sambac.
Style: Empowering. Mysterious. Fabulous.
Keep reading for my thoughts on the perfume and images!

I feel like the packaging for this perfume is very Lady Gaga without being too over-the-top (which Lady Gaga also can be). The bottle has an egg shape and is made of clear glass. Before I saw this perfume in person, I thought the bottle was black. But the perfume itself is actually black, not the bottle!
The spray nozzle is made of gold-colored metal and has Lady Gaga’s name on it. The cap is also made of gold plastic and has three (3) claw-like extensions that drop down around the edge of the bottle. The cap is a little awkward to get on and off.
I’m really not into celebrity fragrances. And, come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever owned or purchased a celebrity fragrance before this one. I’ve smelled plenty of them before in the store, but I’m not hooked by the concept and was never quite impressed with the scents. But I have to say, I’m a big fan of The Fame.
The perfume has a warm, sightly musky character to it. The scent is not sweet, bitter, feminine or masculine (though I’d classify it as falling ever-so-slightly on the masculine side). I have no idea what Belladonna, Tiger Orchidea, or Jasmin Sambac are supposed to smell like, but I do see the Incense and Honey Drops in the scent, as well as a hint of Apricot.
What I love most about this perfume is the utter absence of an alcohol quality. And this is surprising, seeing as the main ingredient in the perfume (as is usually the case with spray perfumes) is alcohol. But I don’t have that initial reaction on first-spray where I crinkle my nose and kind of turn my head until the alcohol has evaporated and I can put my nose to the perfume. Maybe this perfume doesn’t have as much alcohol in it as other perfumes do? Whatever the explanation, I love the ease with which I can wear this scent. I also love that it doesn’t end up giving me a headache after a couple hours of wear–another issue I have with many perfumes.
Fame has quite good wear-time too. It stays strong for a good four (4) hours and dies down gradually over the next two (2) hours thereafter. I’ve worn this a couple of times for a night out and I can still smell the perfume faintly the next morning if I put my nose up to my wrist.
Compared to other celebrity perfumes, Fame is at a higher price-point.
